NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- American International Group (NYSE: AIG) today announced that Edward L. Dandridge has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, effective October 16, 2023. Mr. Dandridge will report to Peter Zaffino, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, and serve on AIG’s Executive Leadership Team.

Mr. Dandridge will lead the global teams that shape AIG's corporate reputation including Brand, Marketing, and External and Internal Communications, and he will closely collaborate with AIG’s Investor Relations, Government Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility teams. He will support AIG businesses around the world in advancing AIG’s global brand in the marketplace and will work with them to strategically position our businesses for continued growth and profitability.

During his prior tenure at AIG, Ed served as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer of General Insurance and was a member of the leadership team that led the transformational turnaround of the General Insurance business.

With more than 30 years of leadership experience, Ed is a member of the President’s Advisory Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Ed is the Chair of the Susan G. Komen National Board of Directors; and is a Director of the Executive Leadership Council. Most recently, Ed served as President of ScaleWith, a social impact technology company. Ed’s previous leadership roles include SVP, Chief Communications Officer of Boeing, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer of Marsh & McLennan, and President & CEO of the National Association of Investment Companies.

Mr. Dandridge holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University, with honors, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
