Versus Capital Welcomes Robert Becker as Chief Investment Strategist

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Versus Capital Advisors (NASDAQ: VCRRX), a leading manager of investment strategies focused on real assets, today announced that Robert Becker has joined the firm as Chief Investment Strategist. Robert is an accomplished real assets investor with experience as a portfolio manager for a premier global listed infrastructure strategy and a top performing utilities fund. Versus Capital continues to invest heavily in its investment team, almost doubling its number of investment professionals in the past year. The addition of Robert brings decades of infrastructure investing expertise and deepens Versus’ capabilities for existing portfolios as well as future product developments.

Robert Becker joins Versus Capital from Eversource Energy, a Fortune 500 diversified utility company. Previously, he spent 18 years at Cohen & Steers, where he was co-founder and co-head of the global listed infrastructure strategy and a portfolio manager for infrastructure securities. Earlier, Robert was a portfolio manager for the Franklin Utilities Fund at Franklin Templeton Investments. He also worked in equity research of global utilities and global transportation companies at Salomon Smith Barney and Scudder, Stevens & Clark, respectively. Robert graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California at Berkeley.
