CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, March 25, 2024 /PRNewswire/ - Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE American: UEC) (the "Company" or "UEC") is pleased to announce the appointment of Brent Berg as its Senior Vice-President, U.S. Operations.

Brent Berg is a highly qualified mining and mineral processing professional with over 27 years of experience in the minerals industry, including more than 21 years in uranium production in the United States and Canada.

Mr. Berg is the former President of Cameco Resources, where he led Cameco's U.S. uranium In-Situ Recovery ("ISR") operations in Wyoming and Nebraska.  This experience included management and oversight of Cameco's in-situ recovery facilities and the successful start-up and operation of the North Butte satellite ISR operation in Wyoming.  Under his management, U.S. production reached over 2.6 million lbs. prior to Cameco curtailing production due to market conditions. Mr. Berg also has extensive open pit and underground mining experience, including Cameco's Key Lake, McArthur River and Rabbit Lake operations.

Most recently, Mr. Berg was the President and CEO of Rare Element Resources Ltd., where he was responsible for overall day-to-day management and operation of that company, including its strategic, financial and operational leadership.

Mr. Berg is a Professional Engineer with a B.A.Sc. in Regional Environmental Systems Engineering from the University of Regina and an MBA from the University of Regina.  In 2023, Mr. Berg completed a Master of Legal Studies, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona, with a focus on mining law and policy.
