HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
UBS Wealth Management USA today announced that Matthew Tashjian and Jason Farkas have joined the firm as Financial Advisors in Hartford, Connecticut. The team is responsible for managing a combined $428 million in client assets for high net worth individuals and families.
Matthew and Jason join the firm’s Central New England New York State Market, managed by William Cholawa, and are also joined by Client Service Associates Nicoletta Geraci and Alexandria Braithwaite.

Matthew brings more than 25 years of wealth management industry experience to UBS. He focuses on providing a select group of high-net-worth individuals and families with tailored solutions that address their unique goals, ambitions and financial personalities. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Management Advisor. Matthew previously served on the internal teaching faculties at both Merrill and Smith Barney, where he developed a curriculum called Wealth and Well-Being, designed to help investors understand how personal aspirations and motivations for investing can contribute to life success.
Jason has more than 25 years of capital markets experience, having previously served as a technical analyst, trader, financial advisor and 401(k) plan consultant. His industry experience and deep perspective enable him to provide clients with personalized, tactical wealth management strategies, and help clients anticipate and pursue critical financial objectives. Prior to joining UBS, Jason spent ten years working at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He earned MBA certificates in Accounting, Finance and Negotiation at Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Business School after attending Arizona State University.
