T-Mobile (TMUS) has been recognized as having the fastest average download speeds globally among large land area operators, according to Opensignal's latest Global Mobile Network Experience report. The company also ranked as a global leader for average upload speeds, standing as the only U.S. provider ranked in either category.
T-Mobile's nationwide 5G standalone network covers more than 332 million people across two million square miles, with over 305 million people covered by Ultra Capacity 5G. The company's mid-band 5G coverage offers more than double the square miles compared to its closest competitors.
Additionally, T-Mobile Puerto Rico achieved recognition as a global leader for download speeds in countries/territories smaller than 200,000 sq. km. These achievements follow Opensignal's previous report where T-Mobile was recognized for having the most available 5G network worldwide.
