Stivala said, "The fiscal 2024 second quarter was characterized by an inconsistent weather pattern and unseasonably warm weather across much of our operating footprint. With the exception of a short burst of extreme cold weather in mid-January, average temperatures were warmer than the prior year, which negatively impacted customer demand for heating purposes. In the markets where we experienced cooler weather compared to the prior year, such as the southeast, our volumes responded favorably.
