Candida auris is an emerging fungus in the United States that can cause severe infections in the bloodstream, wounds, ears and potentially other parts of the body. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has stated that it has concerns about Candida auris because it is often resistant to drugs commonly used to treat Candida infections.
