Mark McClain of SailPoint Technologies and Max Wessel of SAP bring years of experience scaling businesses from early-stage startups to publicly-traded companies
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ActivTrak, Inc. today announced the addition of two software industry leaders to its Board of Directors: Mark McClain, CEO and founder of SailPoint Technologies (NYSE:SAIL); and Max Wessel, executive vice president and Chief Learning Officer at SAP (NYSE:SAP).
Both leaders have years of experience scaling companies that have helped to define and disrupt their respective software industries through delivery of enterprise class solutions. McClain has been an entrepreneur for more than 20 years and co-founded two companies – Waveset Technologies (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and SailPoint – that have driven innovation in the identity management market. He is the author ofJoy and Success At Work: Building Organizations That Don’t Suck (The Life Out Of People) and a recognized expert in building companies with employee-centered cultures.
“I’ve spent my career as an executive building and leading successful teams with the philosophy that a happy, fulfilled employee is one with a voice and a stake in the business,” said McClain. “I’m thrilled to join the ActivTrak board, and champion their mission to help companies of all sizes become more employee-powered, employee-centric organizations.”
Wessel is responsible for educating, enabling and driving transformation for SAP's customers, partners, developers and employees, including the SAP Community and SAP's nearly $400M Learning business. He previously served as SAP’s Chief Innovation Officer where he developed SAP’s Process Intelligence capabilities and built SAP’s initial Low-Code No-Code software business. Wessel lectures on innovation and strategy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a venture partner with Nextgen Venture Partners.
“Our goal as leaders is to help information flow from one employee to another, to guide behavior and ensure the right collective actions are taken in pursuit of a common goal,” said Wessel. “This is now more important than ever. I’m excited to help ActivTrak lead the industry forward with solutions that help companies continue to embrace, adapt to and succeed in the new future of work.”
“The way we work today is ripe for innovation and disruption, from how teams communicate and collaborate to how products are designed and delivered. I can’t think of two more experienced people than Mark and Max to help us seize this exciting opportunity and build on our success as a workforce analytics industry leader,” said Rita Selvaggi, CEO of ActivTrak.
