Peoples Financial Services Corp. (NASDAQ: PFIS) reported a net income of $9.6 million or $1.33 per diluted share for Q1 2022, marking a 2.0% increase from $9.5 million, or $1.31 per share in Q1 2021. The increase was driven by a $1.9 million rise in net interest income and reduced tax expenses. Loan growth reached $98.7 million, leading to a provision for loan losses of $0.3 million.
