VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / March 30, 2021 / Naturally Splendid Enterprises Ltd. ("Naturally Splendid") (TSX-V:NSP) (OTC:NSPDF) (Frankfurt:50N) is pleased to announce the Company has received a Purchase Order for another container of hulled hemp seed from its roster of clients in South Korea.

This Purchase Order represents the fifth container shipment to South Korea since March 2020, with the frequency of purchase orders increasing of late.

Naturally Splendid was one of the early movers in the hemp opportunity in South Korea, going back as far as 2016. The relationships forged at that time are paying dividends now with increased orders for hulled hemp seed. These established relationships provide an opportunity to present additional plant-based products for their consideration as well.

Naturally Splendid has been focused on plant-based nutrition from the onset, with the Company's first retail products being hemp-related. The Company continues to offer retail hemp products under the Chii and NATERA brands. As noted in earlier news releases, hemp has the most digestible protein of any plant on earth, thus fitting perfectly with the Company's continuing plant-based initiatives.

Our acquisition of Prosnack Natural Foods and subsequent build-out of our Safe Quality Food manufacturing facility in Pitt Meadows, BC in 2017, provided the foundation to manufacture plant-based bars and bites. Since that time, the Company has produced our own Company branded plant-based lines of bars and bites and has been a contract manufacturer for these types of products for multiple clients.

The Company is now pursuing our most significant plant-based opportunity to date, NATERA Plant-Based Foods. NATERA Plant-Based Foods has over 40 commercially ready plant-based entrees, with ten of these offerings currently available online at naterafoods.com. Additional entrees will be added to our offerings in a timely manner.

Naturally Splendid CEO Mr. Craig Goodwin states, "The personal health benefits, as well as the sustainability and environmental benefits of plant-based foods are clearly evident and irrefutable, and consumers are gravitating towards these products for these reasons and many more. We made the strategic decision years ago to focus on nutritional plant-based products and now that consumer demand has never been greater, we are positioned better than ever with a facility that can be adapted to produce a wide range of plant-based products. We look forward to continuing providing tasty and nutritious plant-based products for this rapidly increasing market."
