Second Quarter 2022 Financial Results

  • Related party revenue from our collaboration with Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, or Merck, was $8.3 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2022, compared to $16.8 million for the same period in 2021. In 2021, we entered into an amended and restated research collaboration, product development and license agreement with Merck, or the Amended Collaboration Agreement. R&D expenses increased $1.9 million in the quarter as compared to the same period in 2021, primarily due to our ongoing clinical trials of NGM707, NGM831, NGM120 and NGM438, and personnel-related expenses partially offset by decreased expenses for our manufacturing activities and our clinical trials of aldafermin.
  • General and administrative expenses were $9.9 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2022, compared to $9.8 million for the same period in 2021.
  • Cash, cash equivalents and short-term marketable securities were $297.8 million as of June 30, 2022, compared to $366.3 million as of December 31, 2021.
