NEW YORK, May 12, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Mind Medicine (MindMed) Inc (NASDAQ: MNMD), (NEO: MMED), (the "Company" or "MindMed"), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel products to treat brain health disorders, today announced that it will host a key opinion leader (KOL) webinar on substance use disorders and withdrawal management on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11:00am EDT.
The webinar will feature presentations from key opinion leaders Kelly E. Dunn, PhD, MBA (Johns Hopkins School of Medicine) and Stuart Gitlow, MD, MPH, MBA (Past President of the American Society of Addiction Medicine) who will discuss substance use disorders, the current treatment landscape for opioid use disorder, and the unmet medical need in the management of opioid withdrawal.
Following presentations by Drs. Dunn and Gitlow, the MindMed leadership team will provide an overview of the MM-110 (zolunicant) clinical development program and discuss its therapeutic potential in substance use disorders. MM-110 is an α3β4 nicotinic cholinergic receptor antagonist that offers a novel mechanism to address a critical gap in current opioid use disorder treatment.

- Kelly E. Dunn, PhD, MBA is an Associate Professor in the Behavioral Pharmacology Research Unit within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Dunn has worked in the area of opioid use disorder treatment and withdrawal mitigation since 2005 and has served as the Principal Investigator on grants. Dr. Dunn earned her PhD in Human Behavioral Pharmacology from the University of Vermont, her MS in Applied Biopsychology from the University of New Orleans and her MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business.
- Stuart Gitlow, MD, MPH, MBA is Past President of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and Past Chair of the AMA's Council of Science and Public Health. He currently serves as a Medical Consultant to the Federal Air Surgeon at the Federal Aviation Administration. Dr. Gitlow obtained his MD at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, completed his psychiatric and public health training at University of Pittsburgh and a forensic psychiatry fellowship at Harvard University.
