Garrett and Gabriel Armstrong, of Rochester, are two recent Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS) graduates that signed to be a part of Manchester University’s Esports team for the 2023 fall semester. The brothers, one graduating early, received academic scholarships for $22,000 per year, as well as Esports scholarships for $3,000 per year. In addition, they both graduated high school at INDLS with a certification in Cybersecurity.

Esports are multiplayer video games that are played at a club or professional level. As students of INDLS, Garrett and Gabriel were able to compete in the Indiana State Esports Network, which is a ranked competitive Esports Team and Club. Both were champions this past season in League of Legends, as well as Stride National Champions in League of Legends and Valorant for multiple seasons in a row. INDLS takes pride in providing its students with opportunities to work with others on a team, even in a virtual setting, and helping them get into games that will connect them with college recruiters, like those at Manchester University.

Now, the Armstrong brothers will continue their success in gaming at Manchester University, where they will compete in The National Association of Collegiate Esports and be on a team that has been the Champion of the Great Lakes Esports Conference for three consecutive years.
