The NATO Scoping Trials are a collaboration between US government agencies and NATO countries to collect and analyze security detection performance data for the purpose of determining Person Borne IEDs (PBIEDs) detection capabilities of US and European partners for Force Protection.
During the trial, the next generation screening capabilities of the HEXWAVE walkthrough system will be demonstrated, including:
- Continuous, contactless, high throughput flow of screening without having to pause or stop
- No need to remove benign items like cell phones, keys, and wallets
- Detection of non-metallic and metallic threats such as liquid, powder, and plastic explosives, incendiary devices, and unauthorized weapons like 3D printed ghost guns and more
- Automated detection with threat location on the resolution station for ease of clearing alarm
- Quick setup and portability of the system
"We are excited to participate in this event as it will demonstrate the enhanced capability of HEXWAVE to automatically and efficiently detect explosive materials, metallic and non-metallic," said Bill Frain, CEO of Liberty Defense. "The ability for HEXWAVE to detect a broader spectrum of threats and it's mobility has made it very attractive in a variety of screening applications like prisons, courthouses, airports, hospitals, stadiums, and government facilities."
