The recognized companies were identified based on three dimensions and using more than 15 different criteria. TIME considered all companies that operate in the U.S. and generated between $100 million and $10 billion in revenue in 2022 or 2023. The three evaluation criteria were:

• Employee Satisfaction: Standardized work-related Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data based on survey data of a large sample of employees from U.S. companies
• Revenue Growth: Revenue growth data of all relevant companies from the internal growth and company databases
• Sustainability Transparency: Environmental, social and governance (ESG) data among standardized KPIs relevant to ESG from the internal ESG database and targeted data research
