PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Independence Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: IRT) (“IRT”) announced today that IRT’s board of directors approved a quarterly dividend of $0.16 per share of IRT common stock, which represents a 14% increase in the dividend over the prior quarterly rate of $0.14 per share. The second quarter dividend is payable on July 21, 2023 to stockholders of record at the close of business on June 30, 2023.

IRT also announced that it is scheduled to host meetings with investors at BMO’s 2023 Real Estate Summit in New York City on May 11. The company has posted its May Investor Presentation on its website at www.irtliving.com in the Investor Relations section under Presentations, highlighting a continued improvement in operating trends, with occupancy gains and rental rate growth.
