(NYSE:IR), a global provider of mission-critical flow creation and industrial solutions, appointed Kathryn Freytag today as vice president and Chief Information Officer (CIO), reporting to Vikram Kini, Chief Financial Officer. Freytag will serve as part of Ingersoll Rand’s extended executive leadership team.

As CIO, Freytag will lead the global information technology (IT) organization, overseeing strategy, operations, infrastructure and applications. She will be responsible for creating business value through the delivery of innovative technology solutions, industry-leading information security practices, rigorous M&A integration, and digital and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions that maximize profitable growth.

She will be relocating to Davidson, N.C. from Eden Prairie, Minn. where she most recently served as the executive vice president and CIO for iFit. Prior to that, she served as CIO for Donaldson Companies, Stratasys and vice president and CIO, Enterprise Solutions for Honeywell International. Freytag earned a master’s in business administration from University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree from Iona College.
