Intel Appoints Stuart Pann to Lead Intel Foundry Services
Intel Corporation has appointed Stuart Pann as the new senior vice president and general manager of Intel Foundry Services (IFS) to accelerate its open systems foundry offering. Pann will oversee growth in IFS, focusing on differentiated services including packaging and chiplet standards. His extensive experience includes leading Intel's IDM 2.0 Acceleration Office and previous roles at HP. The appointment follows the departure of Dr. Randhir Thakur, the inaugural GM of IFS, who left in November 2022 to pursue opportunities outside of Intel. This strategic change aims to enhance Intel's capabilities and customer relationships.

- The appointment is likely to strengthen Intel's competitive position in the foundry market with a focus on customer needs and advanced technologies.
- Pann replaces Dr. Randhir Thakur, raising concerns about continuity and experience in leadership within IFS.
