Kidde, a fire safety leader, has expanded its Cause For Alarm™ program through a collaboration with The Home Depot and iHeartMedia to enhance home safety awareness. The initiative includes local events at Home Depot stores, promotional support, and donations to fire departments.
Since launching in 2022, the program has focused on promoting fire and CO safety education. Kidde has donated over $6.4 million worth of smoke and CO alarms across North America in the past three years. Recently, they announced an additional $400,000 product donation for the greater New York area, while iHeartMedia New York contributed $25,000 to the FDNY Foundation.
The campaign will host safety events in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, featuring community engagement, safety information, and a new 'Cause For Alarm' pledge. The first event was held on March 1 at The Home Depot in the Bronx, NY, offering giveaways and fire safety activities with FDNY participation.
