Humana Launches CenterWell Home Health
Humana has begun transitioning its Kindred at Home brand to CenterWell Home Health, strengthening its commitment to quality home care. This rebranding effort, initiated on March 1, 2022, will occur across seven states initially, with further expansions planned. The change aims to integrate Kindred's home health services into Humana's overall strategy, enhancing care continuity for patients. CenterWell will serve over 350 locations in 38 states, focusing on improving patient health outcomes and providing personalized care to Medicaid and Medicare patients.
- Transitioning to CenterWell Home Health increases brand recognition and integrates services under one name.
- Expansion to over 350 locations across 38 states enhances reach and accessibility for patients.
- Commitment to quality care and improved health outcomes remains a core focus for the company.
- Transitioning brands might cause initial confusion among patients and providers.
- Potential risks in maintaining service quality during the rebranding process.
Humana-owned Kindred at Home begins transitioning home health division to new brand; commitment to quality care at home remains strong

The brand transition represents a major step in the full integration of Kindred at Home’s home health operations into Humana. Last August, Humana announced that it had completed the acquisition of Kindred at Home (KAH) to reinforce its commitment to invest in home-based clinical solutions that can improve patient outcomes, increase satisfaction for patients and providers, and create value for health plan partners.
“While the CenterWell Home Health brand is new, our commitment to high-quality, compassionate care is stronger than ever,” said

Agwunobi said that as the rebrand continues during 2022,
Leveraging the home as a central part of the patient healthcare experience offers several benefits, such as fewer hospital admissions and readmissions as well as improved confidence, convenience and quality of life.
