Flowserve Corporation Reports Third Quarter 2023 Results; Raises 2023 Financial Guidance
- Flowserve reported a 25.4% increase in revenue and a 630 basis point improvement in adjusted operating margin compared to the previous year. They also generated over $240 million in operating cash flow year-to-date and maintained a near-record backlog level of $2.77 billion. Aftermarket bookings were up $38.6 million or 7.1%, and aftermarket sales were up $104.7 million or 22.7%. Flowserve is raising its revenue growth guidance to 18% to 19% and its adjusted EPS guidance to $1.95 - $2.05 for 2023.
- Total bookings were down $155.8 million or 12.7% compared to the previous year, primarily due to a decrease in original equipment orders related to a Middle East gas project. The reported and adjusted EPS were impacted by a non-cash expense of $10.7 million. The company's net earnings were also affected by noncontrolling interests.
