(BVC: ECOPETROL; NYSE: EC) reports that in the board meeting held on April 29 of 2022, the board of directors authorized the divestment of its entire ownership in Inversiones de Gases de Colombia S.A. ("Invercolsa"), which corresponds to an equity stake of 51.8%. Such divestment is subject to obtaining all corresponding governmental approvals and to the fulfillment of all necessary steps dictated by Law 26 of 1995.

The primary objective of the decision is to divest a non-strategic asset for our energy transition and growth objectives, and to reallocate capital to new opportunities aligned with our 2040 Strategy.
