Catalyst Announces Hiring of Craig Weynand as General Counsel
Catalyst Capital Advisors has appointed Craig Weynand as General Counsel in a newly created position. Weynand, who brings nearly 35 years of industry experience, will serve as chief legal advisor overseeing all legal and regulatory operations across the organization. Prior to joining Catalyst, he served as Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Secretary at Gabelli & Company Investment Advisers, and held General Counsel roles at NuWave Investment Management and Campbell & Company. He also worked as Director of Investor Services at Graham Capital Management and held various positions at Morgan Stanley.
CEO Jerry Szilagyi cited the company's growth in assets under management and increasing sub-advisor partnerships as key factors in creating this position. Weynand will report directly to Szilagyi and focus on helping clients achieve their goals while strengthening the firm's infrastructure.

Prior to joining Catalyst, Mr. Weynand worked as Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Secretary for Gabelli & Company Investment Advisers, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated Capital Group that serves as the alternative investment arm of the Gabelli Group of Companies. Prior to his tenure with the Gabelli Group, Mr. Weynand held a variety of positions within the asset management industry, including General Counsel roles at NuWave Investment Management and Campbell & Company, Director of Investor Services at Graham Capital Management, and various due diligence and product development roles at Morgan Stanley.
