Cousins Properties (NYSE: CUZ) has completed two strategic transactions in Charlotte's South End submarket, enhancing its investment portfolio. On November 17, it purchased 3.4 acres for $28.1 million, planning a 600,000 to 700,000 square foot mixed-use development called South End Station. Additionally, on December 2, it acquired The RailYard, a 329,000 square foot office asset, for $201 million. Currently 97% leased, The RailYard hosts tenants like an Allstate tech center. These acquisitions align with Cousins' long-term growth strategy in the Sun Belt.
