LEWISVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CareView Communications, Inc. ("CareView" or the "Company") (OTCQB: CRVW), an information technology provider to the healthcare industry, today announced the release of latest updates to its CareView Patient Safety System®, Version 5.7, which includes integration with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), SONIFI Health (SONIFI), and new and improved reporting capabilities to manage performance and further stratify the measure of outcomes and results.

The EDW integration allows a health system to integrate data from CareView with other data sources in the EDW to produce customized reports and queries. With this integration, clinical informatics and data teams can combine fall intervention and virtual sitter data with electronic health records (EHRs) and other patient and hospital data to form more comprehensive reports.

The SONIFI integration allows patient safety technicians and providers to easily conduct 2-way video visits through SONIFI appliances in patient rooms from the CareView portal. No nursing interventions are required for these encounters, alleviating staff workloads while also engaging patients in care.

Finally, these updates include several new reports and enhanced reporting capabilities that further stratify the outcomes and results of interventions, allowing for the tracking and measurement of program operational key performance indicators (KPIs).

“These enhancements are the result of work with CareView's Clinical End User Group, a focus group that helps determine the opportunities, direction, and features to lead CareView into the future,” said Shauna Buck, CareView’s Senior Director of Clinical Operations.

“These updates and the integration with SONIFI, creates new opportunities for healthcare providers to address their staffing needs with technology,” said Steve Johnson, CareView’s CEO. “CareView and our partners are ushering in the next generation of patient care to improve care coordination and foster better patient outcomes.”

The CareView Patient Safety System, including its patented Virtual Bed Rails® and Virtual Chair Rails®, uses predictive technology to differentiate between normal patient movements and behaviors of an at-risk patient. This results in fewer false alarms, quicker staff interventions, and a significant reduction in patient falls.
