NEW YORK, June 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) ("CIT") today announced the pricing of a public offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 3.929% senior unsecured fixed-to-floating rate notes due 2024 (the "Notes"). The Notes priced at par. The Notes will bear interest at a fixed rate per annum of 3.929% from and including the date of original issuance to but excluding June 19, 2023 payable semiannually in arrears on June 19 and December 19 beginning December 19, 2020. From and including June 19, 2023 until the maturity of the Notes, the Notes will bear interest at a floating rate based on SOFR plus a margin of 3.827% payable quarterly in arrears. The Notes will be senior unsecured obligations of CIT and will not be guaranteed by any of CIT's subsidiaries. CIT expects the offering to close on or about June 19, 2020, subject to customary closing conditions. CIT intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes.
