DALLAS, March 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Launched in August 2020 by ACE Cash Express (ACE), a Populus Financial Group brand, the "Chip in for Charity" program allows customers to support an ACE charity partner of their choice simply by using their co-branded charity ACE Flare® Account by MetaBank® debit card wherever they shop. When the card is swiped, ACE donates an amount equal to a portion of every purchase made to the associated charity, up to preset limits.

Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a valued ACE charity partner and an important part of our "Chip In For Charity" initiative. Since launching the Homes For Our Troops ACE Flare® Account by MetaBank®, customers raised $39,490 in the first year. Populus Financial Group also made a corporate donation of $5,000 to Homes For Our Troops, during Army SPC Thomas Vandeventer's Key Ceremony where his family received the keys to their new, specially adapted custom home.

Also, Homes For Our Troops was selected as the charity of choice by ACE employees in Florida and North Carolina for its annual in-store fundraising event, the Give A Little Campaign, which raised an additional $9,508 for HFOT.

On April 24, 2007, Marine Lance Corporal Robert "Bobby" McCardle, an Infantryman, was on his second deployment serving with the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, in Al-Qaim, Iraq, when his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED). The blast resulted in the loss of his right leg, internal injuries, and a traumatic brain injury (TBI). By supporting Homes For Our Troops, ACE can help Veterans receive specially adapted homes that will help them overcome some of the challenges they face as they rebuild their lives.
