Blackstone Mortgage Trust, Inc. (NYSE: BXMT) (the “Company”) today announced the closing of its underwritten public offering of its class A common stock. A total of 10,000,000 shares of class A common stock was sold. Aggregate net proceeds to the Company from the offering, after deducting estimated offering expenses, were approximately $314 million. The Company also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,500,000 shares.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for working capital and other general corporate purposes, including supporting the origination of additional commercial mortgage loans and other target assets and investments.
Citigroup, BofA Securities, Barclays, Deutsche Bank Securities, J.P. Morgan and Wells Fargo Securities acted as joint book-running managers for the offering.
The offering was made pursuant to the Company’s currently effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”).
