BROOKFIELD NEWS, Aug. 13, 2020 - Brookfield Property REIT (NASDAQ: BPYU) announced the preliminary results of its tender offer to buy up to 9.2 million Class A shares at $12.00 each. The offer, which expired on August 12, saw approximately 11.3 million shares tendered, leading to a pro rata acceptance of about 81.2% of shares tendered due to oversubscription. BPYU will spend around $110 million on these purchases, reducing outstanding shares to approximately 47.5 million. Shareholders can convert retained shares into Brookfield Property Partners units before a concurrent bid's expiry on August 28.
