BlackBerry's (NYSE:BB)(TSX:BB) QNX division and WeRide Inc. have announced a collaboration to accelerate the development of Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs). WeRide has integrated QNX OS for Safety into their ADAS WePilot solution for L2++ passenger vehicles.
The first joint project between WeRide and Bosch entered mass production in late 2023, implementing their integrated intelligence driving assistance system in Chery's EXEED Sterra ES and ET models. The system features defensive driving, agile lane-changing, and 360-degree obstacle avoidance capabilities, functioning in all weather conditions.
WeRide's ADAS WePilot solution, powered by QNX, supports multi-modality sensor fusion and map-free technology. The system is certified with ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, and ASPICE CL2 standards.
