Funding will enhance workforce development initiatives that help close the equality gap for African Americans and other historically underserved groups throughout Western Pennsylvania.

The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh’s workforce development programs include the Urban Seniors Jobs Program, the Urban Tech Jobs Program and TradesFuture. They have several Opportunity Broker Programs with partners such as the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh, New Century Careers, A Phillip Randolph – Breaking the Chains of Poverty, Garfield Jubilee Workforce Development Taskforce, Pittsburgh Technology Council – Apprenti program and Pittsburgh Gateways.
