Golden Minerals Drills 6.2m Grading 17.19 g/t Au and 2,403.5 g/t Ag at Yoquivo
Golden Minerals Company (NYSE-A: AUMN) has announced significant results from its second set of assays from a 21-hole drill program at the Yoquivo gold-silver project in Mexico. Highlights include holes such as YQ_021_006, which returned 6.2m at 17.19 g/t Au and 2,403.5 g/t Ag. The drill program focused on the Pertenencia, Esperanza, and Dolar vein systems, following up on high-grade zones identified in 2020. The company anticipates further assay results for additional holes, with the current results indicating the presence of economic grades across multiple veins.
- Significant drill results include 6.2m @ 17.19 g/t Au and 2,403.5 g/t Ag.
- High grades from Pertenencia vein are confirmed, with the zone open to the south.
- Encouraging gold and silver mineralization observed in the Dolar vein system.
- None.
- 6.2m @ 17.19 g/t Au and 2,403.5 g/t Ag
- 2.4m @ 3.90 g/t Au and 328.0 g/t Ag
- 0.7m @ 3.40 g/t Au and 12.6 g/t Ag
- 0.6m @ 0.52 g/t Au and 130.0 g/t Ag
The drill program included 3,949m comprised of 21 holes exploring the Pertenencia, Esperanza and Dolar vein systems. Drill holes were designed to follow up on the high-grade zones intersected by the Company’s 2020 drill program and to explore additional veins to identify new high-grade zones. The Company reported results from the first five holes of the program on

Diamond drilling was conducted by Eco Drilling México S. de R.L. de C.V with a Cortech CSD 1300G rig. Drill holes were drilled to depths ranging from 102m to 351m and were drilled at azimuths of 140° or 310° and a dip ranging from -45° to -75°. No water was encountered during drilling. Holes were positioned with a hand-held GPS (accuracy +/- 5 meters) and later surveyed with a Differential GPS once the drilling campaign was completed.
Samples of the core were obtained using a diamond saw to cut the core in half, retaining one half for a permanent core record, and the other sent for analysis.
