The DEI is a joint initiative of Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and is acknowledged as the most comprehensive disability inclusion assessment tool. It is designed to help companies build a roadmap of measurable, tangible actions they can take to achieve disability inclusion and equality.
This month, Aramark Chief Executive Officer, John Zillmer, joined a coalition of 100+ CEOs as a signatory of Disability:IN’s CEO Letter on Disability Inclusion, showing Aramark’s commitment to advancing disability inclusion and equality.
“People are the cornerstone of everything we do. Building an inclusive, accessible, and equitable workplace, where all our employees can thrive and grow their careers, is essential to the success of our company,” said Zillmer. “I am proud to sign Disability:IN’s CEO letter and am even more proud Aramark has again been named one the Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.”
“Disability inclusion is a rapidly expanding aspect of corporate culture, and it’s gratifying to partner with 415 companies on the 2022 Disability Equality Index,” said Jill Houghton, President and CEO of Disability:IN. “These top-scoring companies not only excel in disability inclusion, many are also adopting emerging trends and pioneering measures that can move the disability agenda from accommodation to inclusion and ultimately, genuine belonging."
