Making Power, Making Progress: Altus Power Releases Second Annual Sustainability Report

Notable 2022 achievements include:
- Appointment of Sophia Lee as Chief Sustainability Officer to formalize consideration of ESG factors in management decisions.
- Expanded greenhouse gas inventory to include the company’s first measurement of Scope 3 Emissions; including estimates for employee commuting, business travel, and emissions from vegetation management to maintain our assets.
- Conducted a materiality assessment surveying our stakeholders to identify and prioritize material topics both of importance to them and also impactful for our business
- Expanding access to the benefits renewable energy through Altus Power’s nationwide Community Solar programs, now serving more than 20,000 residential customers, including lower income bracket customers.
- Support of all United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with firm commitment to advance Goals 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15 through our core business or through the methods we execute our business.
- More than 455,000 MWHs (megawatt hours) of clean energy generated during 2022, or the equivalent of nearly 320,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalents avoided compared to consuming utility power.
