Noninterest income increased $0.3 million in first quarter 2023 compared to fourth quarter 2022, due to increases in other income and an increase in earnings on bank-owned life insurance. This increase was slightly offset by a decrease in service charges on deposit accounts. Noninterest expense decreased $0.3 million in first quarter 2023 compared to fourth quarter 2022, due to decreases in salaries and employee benefits expenses and other expenses, slightly offset by increases in occupancy expense and furniture and fixture expenses.
