Verizon Frontline introduces newest first responder advisory council member
Verizon Frontline has welcomed Kara Kalkbrenner, former chief of the Phoenix Fire Department, to its First Responder Advisory Council. With 37 years in public safety, Kalkbrenner brings extensive experience in operations and management of fire services. She previously led over 2,300 professionals and managed a budget exceeding $550 million. The council advises on strategies and product developments to enhance services for first responders. BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Oct. 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Verizon Frontline today introduced Chief Kara Kalkbrenner (Ret.), former chief of the Phoenix Fire Department, as the newest member of the Verizon First Responder Advisory Council (VFRAC), bringing 37 years of public safety experience to this new role.

Kalkbrenner joined the Phoenix Fire Department in 1985, and served in every operational capacity within the department’s six divisions, including operations (fire and emergency medical services response), fire prevention, human resources, physical resources, information technology and training.
